This Easter WORKOUTS FOR ALL
With Easter a week away, there’s no better time to start taking control of your health and participating in fun exercises that are suitable for all ages & ability levels. Look online to find out what physical activities there are in your area, whether its a tick-tock charades, Simon says and follow the leader (try this with music!!). In this post, I look at different workout styles for everyone — meaning nobody is left out and anyone with a body can move it to get the benefits of physical fitness.
Outdoor Activities
Easter often brings beautiful spring weather, making outdoor activities a fantastic choice. Organizing a family-friendly egg hunt can be a fun way to engage in light cardio. Running around to find hidden eggs provides a playful way for everyone to get moving and enjoy the fresh air. You can also arrange group games like relay races, frisbee, or soccer, perfect for fostering teamwork and a sense of community.
Seasonal Workouts
You will also enjoy how you can celebrate Easter by putting a seasonal twist on your workouts. Try spring-inspired fitness classes like yoga in the park or Zumba sessions that use festive music. These activities are easy to scale for all levels of fitness, so ultimately inclusive and welcoming.
Home Workouts
Don’t worry if the weather isn’t on your side or you´d prefer to stay indoors. Be sure to check out these at home workouts You can do bodyweight exercises such as squats, push-ups and lunges without the need for fancy equipment; they are also easily modified depending on your fitness level. You can even make it like a family challenge where people in the house take turns leading an exercise, and to change things every time.
Mindful Movement
Finally, remember the BIGGEST thing for mental health….. mindfulness!!! Physical activities, such as yoga and stretching, also help — offering the body opportunities to release stress AND providing time with oneself during an otherwise uber busy holiday season. This encourages a sense of working flexibility in addition to decompressing for everyone.
It is the perfect time for communities to come together and celebrate the holiday as well as focus on health and wellness. We will promote one another and still have FUN while we take part in different workouts which are relative to the season. Now, keep in mind the most important thing which is just double but have fun and celebrate movement—workouts are for everybody!
